Besides his routine concert and studio work with the band Łoskot, Oleś/Trzaska/Oleś Trio and Marcin Świetlicki, Mikołaj Trzaska is also involved in composing music for theatre, feature films and documentaries. He cooperated with such directors as Łukasz Wylężałek (music for TV theatre play entitled "Muchy - The Flies" based on a play by Andrzej Stasiuk); Wojciech Smarzowski (music for TV theatre play entitled "Kuracja"); Julia Wernio (music for Teatr Miejski in Gdynia – the play entitled "Anioł stąpił do Babilonu- An Angel Has Come to Babilon"); Iwona Bartólewska (music for a documentary entitled "List do syna – A Letter to Son"); Olaf Lubaszenko (the band Miłość composed a soundtrack for the film "Sztos"); music for documentary series entitled "Drogówka – Traffic Police" produced for TV 4; Łódź Kaliska artistic group (music for the film "Buty - Shoes"). The project "Pieszo" contains extended versions of pieces which appeared in the above mentioned films, TV Theatre plays and theatre plays. Trzaska decided to publish the best (in his opinion) musical excerpts arranged and instrumented again. Due to the above, he invited the best jazz, classical and yass musicians including Tomasz Gwinciński, Tomasz Hesse, Piotr Pawlak, Olgierd Walicki, Cezary Paciorek and Krystyna Stańko. Thanks to joint cooperation, the compositions gained new, better sound. Reviews "A collection of compositions for theatre and film by the leader of Łoskot - miniatures, which at some instances, last less than a minute - were recorded anew with help of the most interesting musical friends of the artist - from Dymiter (Ewa Braun) to Gwinciński. It is an occasion to explore new sound scapes. The folk simplicity mocks jazz chamber music here; harmonica, guitars and keyboards are equal with meditative solos of the leader's saxophone.
